Building Performance Capacity
Given increased complexities, the rate of change and the constant demands of the workplace, it’s easy to get caught up in the fast pace of it all and start feeling overwhelmed.
Something we often lose sight of is control. That idea that I have what I need to adjust or adapt to whatever comes my way.
How do we build up that sense of control?
1. Drop the Uncontrollables.
Identify what’s beyond your control and try to let go of that.
2. Grab Controllables
Focus your attention on the things that are WITHIN your control and focus your attention to that. Typically, this is anything inside your skin. Your thoughts, attitudes, behaviours and your effort that you apply to each situation.
