Don Draper Hamm is as vulnerable as we’ve ever seen him. He cites his tendencies to push back on family members trying to give him help due to his being a polite mid-westerner that “didn’t want to overshare, it’s fine.”
Hamm spoke about the stigma of mental health not aligning with the reality of where things are with medicine today.
“It’s got the most interesting stigma. People thing if you break your ankle you’re not expected to just walk it off! But if your brain chemistry is somehow a little tweaked you’re somehow expected to just deal with it. But…there’s medicine that fixes it.”
